3 DAYS IN BLED

Tobogganing, pletna boats, a hot air balloon ride, Lake Bohinj and Ljubljana

Things to do in advance: 

• Book flights to Ljubljana, direct flights from London only. Flights from most other major UK airports with 1 or 2 stops 

• Book accommodation, we suggest Airbnb. Stay in Grand Hotel Toplice, Hotel Park and Hotel Rikli Balance if wish to experience the thermal springs 

• Book any excursions you don’t want to miss out on 

• Book Bled Castle for dinner

Day 1

• 9am-11:30am – Travel from UK to Ljubljana

• 11:30am-1pm – Rent a car or get a bus from Ljubljana airport to Bled 

• 1pm-2pm – Check into apartment/hotel

• 2pm-3pm – Lunch at Public Bar and Vegan Kitchen Bled 

• 3pm-6pm – Walk around Lake Bled and to Velika Osonija  

• 6pm-8pm – Night tobogganing at Straza Bled 

• 8pm onwards – Dinner at Vila Preseren (expensive) /Grasjka plaza (reasonable) 

Day 2 

• 9am-10am – Breakfast at Caffe Peglez’n

• 10am-2pm – Visit the Vintgar Gorge 

• 2pm-4pm – Row/ take a pletna to Bled Island and visit Bled Church 

• 4pm – 5pm – Relax

• 5pm-7pm – Visit Bled Castle 

• 7pm onwards – Dinner in Bled Castle Restaurant 

Day 3: Option 1 

• 5:30am-10am- Hot air balloon ride over Lake Bled, Park Hotel Breakfast inc 

• 10am-12pm – Hike to Mala Osojnica viewpoint 

• 12pm-1pm – Have a picnic by Lake Bled 

• 1pm-3pm – Relax by Lake Bled and take a swim 

• 3pm-4pm – Visit the Park Hotel for Bled cake 

• 4pm-6pm – Drive back or get the bus back from Bled to Ljubljana Airport 

• 6pm onwards – Flight from Ljubljana to UK 

Day 3: Option 2 

• 10am-11am – Drive to Ukanc

• 11am-12:30pm – Visit the Savica Waterfall 

• 12:30pm-1:30pm – Take the Vogel Cable Car into the Julian Alps 

• 1:30pm-1:45pm – Drive back to Lake Bohinj

• 1:45pm-2:45pm – Lunch at Strud 

• 2:45pm-4pm – Explore Lake Bohinj 

• 4pm-5:30pm – Drive back from Lake Bohinj to Ljubljana 

• 5:30pm- 6:30pm – Take the bus from Ljubljana to Ljubljana airport 

• 6:30pm onwards – Flight from Ljubljana to UK 

Day 3: Option 3 

• 10am-11:30am – Breakfast at the Park Hotel 

• 11:30am-12:30pm – Drive or take the bus back to Ljubljana 

• 12:30pm-1:30pm – Lunch at Pop’s Place 

• 1:30pm – 5pm – Explore Ljubljana including Plecnik’s market, Ljubljana cathedral, dragon bridge, triple bridge, Ljubljana castle

• 5pm-6pm – Take the bus from Ljubljana to Ljubljana airport 

• 6pm onwards – Flight from
