2 Day Itinerary

Day 1

• 10am- 11am – Catch the ferry from Naples or Sorrento to Capri

• 11am-12pm – Take the funicular up to Piazza Umberto I and get your bearings

• 12pm-1pm – Grab some lunch in Piazza Umberto I whilst people watching

• 1pm-1:15pm – Walk from Piazza Umberto I to Chiesa di San Costanzo

• 1:15pm-2:30pm – Walk to 921 Phoenician steps to the Scala Fenecia

• 2:30pm-3:30pm – Continue from the Scala Fenecia into Anacapri and explore the town

• 3:30pm-5pm – Take the Monte Solaro chair lift to the top and admire the views

• 5pm-5:30pm – After a Spritz to refresh, take the chair lift back down into Anacapri

• 5:30pm-6pm – Catch the local bus from the centre of Anacapri back to the centre of Capri

• 6pm-7:30pm – Relax and your hotel and get ready for dinner

• 7:30pm-8pm – Enjoy an aperitif at the Grand Hotel Quisisana

• 8pm-10pm – Indulge in a 7 course tasting dinner at the Capri Tiberio Palace

• 10am-12pm – Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a relax by the pool in your hotel

• 12pm-12:30pm – Walk to the Arco Naturale and capture some beautiful shots

• 12:30pm-2pm – Take the Pizzolungo walk along the coast, stopping to view the Faraglioni before arriving at Hotel Punta Tragara

• 2pm-3pm – Walk back into Capri centre and stop for some lunch. For a quick bite head to Buonocore Gelateria or for a sit down meal head to La Camerelle

• 3pm-4pm – After lunch, head to the Giardini di Augusto botanical gardens to explore

• 4pm-5:30pm – Wander and experience designer shopping in Capri

• 5:30pm – Catch a late ferry back to your next Amalfi coast destination

• 9am-10am – Get an early ferry to Capri

• 10am-10:30am – Catch the public bus or an open-top taxi from Marina Grande to Anacapri

• 10:30am-11:30am – Explore the sights of Anacapri and the souvenir shops

• 11:30am-1pm – Take the Monte Solaro chair lift to the top of the mountain and grab an espresso at the top

• 1pm-2pm – Take the chair lift down and head for some lunch at L’Angolo Del Gusto for seafood or Trattoria Il Solitario for pasta

• 2pm-2:30pm – Catch the bus back to Marina Grande and get the funicular up to Piazza Umberto I or catch an open-top taxi back to Piazza Umberto I

• 2:30pm-3pm – Walk to the Arco Naturale and capture some beautiful shots

1 Day

• 9am-10am – Get an early ferry to Capri

• 10am-11am – Take the funicular up to Piazza Umberto I

• 11am-12pm – Explore the designer shops and wander through the narrow streets of Capri

• 12pm-1pm – Grab lunch in the Piazza Umberto I and enjoy some people watching

• 1pm-1:15pm – Take the short walk to the Belvedere Tragara to view the famous Faraglioni

• 1:30pm-1:45pm – Head back to Piazza Umberto I and down Via Roma to the Capri bus stop. Catch the bus or an open-top taxi to Anacapri

• 1:45pm-2:30pm – Wander through the streets of Anacapri, visit the sights and souvenir shops

• 2:30pm-4pm – Take the Monte Solaro chair lift to the top of the mountain. Admire the views and stop for an espresso or a Spritz

• 4pm-5pm – Take the chair lift down and catch the local bus from Anacapri back to Capri

• 5pm – Take the ferry to your next Amalfi coast destination

Other recommendations

Blue Grotto

The blue grotto is one of the main attractions in Capri. This is a natural sea cave which can be accessed by rowing boat from Anacapri or Marina Grande, Capri. It is around 14 euros to enter and usually runs from 9am-5pm everyday. The dark cave is lit by the natural light coming through the rock and making the water sparkle.

If you don’t have time to reach the blue grotto (as we didn’t), you can visit the Grotto Smeraldo from Amalfi town which provides you with almost identical experience.
