A desert stay, the Atlas mountains, Souks, tagines and endless mint tea

Day 1
9am – arrive at Marrakech airport and hop on your pre-arranged transfer to the foothills of the Atlas mountains
11am – check in to Dar Tafantant in the heart of the Atlas mountains and a berber village
12pm – join your host Mohamed for a trek into the Atlas mountains and a traditional Moroccan BBQ in a tranquil, shaded spot in the mountains
2pm-3pm – hike back down to Dar Tafantant and relax by the pool
7pm – enjoy an exquisite 3-course dinner at Dar Tafantant with homemade dishes made from local ingredients: moroccan salads to start, chicken tagine with lemon for main and dessert of the day

Day 2
9am – wake up to a delicious fresh breakfast at Dar Tafantant with fresh fruit, pancakes and eggs cooked to your liking
10am – spend the morning either relaxing by the pool or taking a trip to Ourika town
1pm – catch a transfer either back to Marrakech or directly to Nkhila Lodge in the Agafay Desert
3pm – check in to Nkhila Lodge and marvel at the Agafay Desert
4pm – join a quad bike tour, take a camel ride or a guided hike
7pm – enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner outside in the desert

Day 3
9am – wake up to breakfast in the desert (hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to meet the resident doggos)
11am – take a transfer back to Marrakech train station and be collected by the Marrakech Riad family
12pm – check in to one the Marrakech Riads (we stayed at the Riad Star)
12pm-1pm – enjoy a mint tea on arrival and explore your stunning accommodation
1pm – 3pm – get your bearings and explore the Medina and the Souks
4pm-6pm – visit the Saadian tombs and El Badi Palace
7pm – watch the sunset on a rooftop terrace overlooking the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa
8pm – enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the Riad Star

Day 4
8:30am-5pm – join Trips to Morocco for a day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls
7pm – dinner at Il Fen



Day 5
9am – visit Bahia Palace
11am-11:30am – walk to Jardin Majorelle
11:30am-1pm – visit the Jardin Majorelle. You can also visit the Yves Saint Laurent and Berber Museum inside the gardens
1pm- head back to Marrakech and have lunch at Cafe Clock
3pm – explore the Souks and buy your Moroccan souvenirs
5pm – time to head home
