A WEEKEND IN MALTA

Maltese balconies, Mdina wine tasting, Blue Grotto, Blue Lagoon and Gozo

Day 1

• 2pm – arrive in Malta and catch a taxi to your accommodation (around 12 euro)

• 3pm-7pm – explore Valetta: Upper Barranka Gardens, St Johns Cathedral, Grand Masters Palace, Vadette Watchtower and Gardjola gardens

• 7pm – Dinner at MUZA gallery

• 9pm – After-dinner drinks at Wild Honey

Day 2

• 10am – catch bus 74 to the Blue Grotto (bus tickets 2 euros pp)

• 11am- 1:30pm – hike to Dingli Cliffs

• 1:30pm – continue into Dingli to visit St Mary’s Church

• 2pm-4pm – take a taxi to the Meridana Wine Estate for a tasting

• 4pm – explore Mdina: Mdina gate, Blue Mdina door, St Paul’s cathedral, Mdina ditch garden, Bastion at Triq is-Sur and the Fontanella Tea Garden

• 5:30pm – take the bus to the nearby town of Rabat to visit St Paul’s Catacombs, church and grotto and the Roman villa

• 6:30pm – take the bus back to Sliema and have dinner at Hammett’s Gastro Bar

Day 3

• 10am- 5:30pm – join Luzzu Cruises for the Gozo, Comino and Blue Lagoon tour. You will visit Mgarr harbour in Gozo, Citadella, Inland sea, Dwejra bay, island of Comino, the Blue Lagoon and the Crystal Caves

• 7:30pm – dinner at Wigi’s kitchen and grill in St Julian’s Bay

• 9pm – drinks at Chalice bar and lounge

Day 4

• 10am-2pm – take the ferry from Valetta to the three cities (2 euros pp). Explore Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicu

• 2pm – take a taxi back to Malta airport to head home
