ALGARVE ITINERARY

3 Days in the Algarve itinerary

Day 1

  • 10am – arrive in Faro airport and pick up a rental car

  • 11:30am – drive to Sagres and check into your hotel (we stayed at Memmo Baleeira)

  • 12:30pm – have some lunch on the terrace at the Fornaria restaurant in Memmo Baleeira

  • 2pm – walk along the coastline in Sagres and stop at the Chiringuito Praia da Mareta bar for a drink

  • 5pm – relax by the pool in your hotel and get ready for dinner

  • 7pm – dinner at Arte Bianca pizzeria

Day 2

  • 10am – drive 1 hour to Cabrita wines and enjoy a tour and tasting

  • 12pm – drive to Praia da Marinha to start the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail and then get a taxi back from Praia de Vale Centianes

  • 3pm – drive to Algar Seco rock formations

  • 5pm – arrive back in Sagres and get ready for dinner

  • 7pm – have dinner at Three Little Birds burger restaurant or Vila Vehla for traditional Portuguese food

Day 3

  • 10am – take a boat trip into the caves

  • 11:30am – drive to Lagos and walk the Ponta de Piedade boardwalk walk

  • 2pm – walk back into Lagos town and stop for lunch at Tasca do kiko or Chico ze

  • 4pm – explore the historic old town of Lagos and visit the church and other monuments

  • 7pm – back in Sagres, have dinner at the laundry lounge and hopefully catch some live music
